The news: Shares in tissue regeneration business PolyNovo rocketed more than 10% this morning despite no new announcements from the company.
The numbers: PolyNovo was comfortably the top performer on the ASX 200, with gains trimmed to 9.2% by 12:50pm AEST, taking the share price to $1.54. Over the last 12 months its shares have tumbled 33.7%.
The stock is now up 17% since Monday, after the company told investors that it is “well positioned to benefit from changes to the US outpatient reimbursement landscape”, which seeks to lower the cost of outpatient wound care.
