Pro Medicus shares soar on US Cloud deal

The news: Pro Medicus shares have soared nearly 10% after the medical imaging company inked a 10-year contract with US not-for-profit healthcare Baylor Scott & White Health for cloud engineering services.

The numbers: The contract, worth $140 million, will deliver Pro Medicus' full-stack Visage imaging product throughout BSWH's outlets and is expected to be delivered in early 2024. PME shares were trading at $78.07 at 1:10pm AEST, up 9.8% from yesterday's close.

The context: BSWH is the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in Texas and one of the largest in the USA.
