QBE chair Mike Wilkins to depart, Yasmin Allen picked as successor

The news: QBE Insurance chair Mike Wilkins will retire from the board next year, with non-executive director Yasmin Allen picked as his replacement.

The context: Allen, who joined the QBE board in July 2022, will commence in the role on 8 May 2026. She is also on the board of Santos and chairs the Digital Skills Organisation, having previously held other director and chair roles at IAG and Macquarie Global Infrastructure Funds.

Wilkins will step down at QBE's annual general meeting in May, having served on the board since 2016, and as chair since 2020.
