QBE Insurance appoints Chris Killourhy as next CFO

The news: QBE Insurance Group has appointed the managing director of its reinsurance business QBE Re, Chris Killourhy, as its new chief financial officer.
The context: Since joining QBE in 2015, Killourhy has held a series of senior roles across the group's global operations including chief actuary for QBE Capital, chief actuary for Australia Pacific, CFO for Australia Pacific and CFO for international.
He previously worked at the Bermuda Monetary Authority overseeing reinsurer capital models.
Killourhy will start the role on 1 January, subject to regulatory approvals.
