QBE’s local CEO Sue Houghton to retire this year

The news: QBE Insurance’s CEO for Australia Pacific, Sue Houghton, will retire at the end of 2026 after more than five years with the group.

Houghton, who previously held senior roles at Wesfarmers Insurance, IAG and KPMG, will continue to lead the business while QBE undertakes a search for her successor.

What they said: “Sue has made an outstanding contribution to QBE over the past five years,” said QBE group CEO Andrew Horton.

“She has built a simpler, stronger business and delivered meaningful progress across a range of strategic priorities.”
