The news: Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners' Australian regional leader Brian Restall will transition into the investment fund’s newly created global chief executive role by the end of the year, which will oversee the regional teams of North America, Europe and Australia.

The context: Restall has worked at Quinbrook since it was founded in 2015 and has worked with its founder in previous investment management roles since 2011.

He has led over USD20 billion of power project development, more than USD4 billion in power asset construction and was the inaugural CEO of Cape Byron Power, the investment fund’s first portfolio company.

The company has also appointed former McKinsey partner Giulia Siccardo as its new regional leader of Quinbrook for North America. She moves from her role as the first director of manufacturing and energy supply chains at the US Department of Energy, leading a new investment arm.

She will replace John Lucas, who leaves at the end of the month. Meanwhile, director of Quinbrook’s North American investment team Kathryn Lin has been promoted to senior director and leader of Quinbrook’s digital infrastructure strategies.
