The news: Listed plumbing supplier Reece Group has announced that group CEO Peter Wilson will expand his role to joint chair and CEO from 1 November as part of a raft of leadership changes.

Tim Poole, who has been a board director for eight years and chair for two years, will retire following the group's annual general meeting in October.

The context: CEO of Reece USA Sasha Nikolic will move to the newly created role of group president and managing director and will by Reece USA's president of plumbing James Healy. Both changes will take effect from 1 July.

The company said that as group president and managing director, Nikolic will oversee all aspects of strategy implementation and performance, with input and mentorship from Wilson. Nikolic's appointment in the new role is designed to provide further resource and capacity at the group level, supporting the expansion of Wilson's role to chair and CEO.

What they said: Wilson said: "Over many years Reece has prided itself on growing and developing its own talent and promoting from within, and I can't think of a better example than the leadership announcements we are making today."

"Sasha and James both represent everything that is great about our business — two humble leaders who hold themselves to the highest standards and always put the customer, and our team, first," he said.
