Regal Partners NPAT drops 24% for first half

The news: Regal Partners has reported a 24% fall in net profit after tax for the first half of financial year 2025 as a result of lower performance fees and other income.

The numbers: Its NPAT came in at $26.3 million compared to the $50.2 million during the prior corresponding period.

Management fees for the half totalled $81.1 million, up from $46.97 million. However, performance fees fell 51% to $39.3 million from $59.45 million.

It also reported a 49% increase in funds under management to $17.5 billion as inflows rose $700 million.

The fund manager posted a first-half revenue of $148 million, up 2.6% on consensus, according to Visible Alpha figures.

The board declared an interim dividend of 6 cents per share, lower than the 8 cent dividend during the first half of FY24.

Regal noted that it had a positive start of 2H25 as its FUM was up 5% in July to $18.5 billion with net inflows of $300 million.

The context: Regal chief executive and managing director Brendan O’Connor said the fund manager had delivered “another strong set of results for the half-year” thanks to positive investment performance and healthy net inflows.
