Resmed sells MatrixCare software business to Frazier Healthcare for $708m

The news: Resmed has agreed to sell its MatrixCare business to Seattle-based private equity firm Frazier Healthcare Partners for USD490 million ($707.5 million), with the transaction expected to close during the first quarter of FY27.

The context: Resmed stated that the transaction reflects its 2030 strategy to prioritise high-growth, scalable opportunities in sleep health. The divestment also strengthens its ability to relocate capital and resources toward long-term innovation across its care ecosystem.

The sale includes MatrixCare and related software offerings sold under the brand including Healthcare First and Citus which provide software solutions to more than 15,000 providers across skilled nursing, senior living, home health and hospice care.

What they said: “By focusing on areas where we see the greatest opportunity for sleep health innovation and impact, we are strengthening our ability to deliver life-changing health technologies, improve patient outcomes, and create value for our stakeholders,” Resmed CEO Mick Farrell said.
