Ryman Healthcare appoints ex ClearPoint CEO as new director

The news: Ryman Healthcare has named Hamish Rumbold as its new independent non-executive director, effective 1 May.

The context: Rumbold currently serves as a director for House of Travel, Orbit Remit, LIC and The Warehouse Group.

Prior to the appointment, the company said Rumbold was the chief digital and technology officer at Kiwibank, and had also served as CEO of ClearPoint, as well as holding senior roles at Air New Zealand.

In accordance with Ryman’s policy, Rumbold will stand for election at the 2026 annual shareholders meeting.

What they said: "I’m really pleased with the people and the range of complimentary [sic] capabilities we have been able to attract as the Board works with management to reset organisation to deliver not only great care for our residents but also great financial performance for our shareholders,” Ryman Healthcare chair Dean Hamilton said.
