Seek shares lower after leadership shake-up

Seek gets new CFO, unveils leadership changes

The news: Job listings platform Seek has appointed Kendra Banks as its new chief financial officer and has unveiled additions to its executive leadership team.

The context: Banks, who is currently managing director for Australia and New Zealand, will take up her new role from 1 July. She has been with the company since 2015.

Seek will also expand its executive leadership team with the addition of Peter Bithos as group executive for commercial and Grant Wright as group executive for artificial intelligence.

Seek said it will merge the commercial divisions of Australia-New Zealand and Asia into a single Asia-Pacific (APAC) division to align sales and marketing functions with the unified product and technology structure.

Current Seek Asia head Peter Bithos will lead this combined division. The company has also promoted Grant Wright to the executive leadership team in recognition of the increasing importance of AI to Seek’s products and internal processes.
