SGH chair Terry Davis to retire in 2026
The news: Terry Davis, the chair of Kerry Stokes’ diversified operating business SGH, will retire from the board in calendar year 2026 with a replacement expected to be named “in the new year”.
SGH audit and risk committee chair Annabelle Chaplan will also retire from the board after the release of the company’s FY26 half year results in February 2026.
The context: Davis has been the chair of SGH since November 2021 and has been on the board since June 2010.
Meanwhile, Chaplin joined the SGH board in November 2015 and has been chair of the audit and risk committee since November 2016.
Mark Johnson, who joined the SGH board in September 2024, will take over as chair of SGH’s audit and risk committee when Chaplan leaves.
What they said: “Mr Davis has overseen significant growth at SGH, culminating with inclusion into the ASX100, and more recently, MSCI World Index,” SGH said in a statement to the exchange.
“Mr Davis has led SGH’s transformation and growth into a leading Australian industrial business, successfully completing the compulsory acquisition of Boral, and delivering substantial value uplift for SGH shareholders, including record earnings and share price growth in FY25.”
