Sigma Healthcare names former JB Hi-Fi boss Richard Murray as CFO

The news: Sigma Healthcare has appointed former JB Hi-Fi chief executive Richard Murray as its new chief financial officer, commencing 13 October.

The context: Murray was most recently CEO of Total Tools, a division of Metcash. He was previously CEO of Premier Retail at Premier Investments, overseeing The Just Group's seven retail brands.

Prior to that, Murray spent 12 years as CFO of JB Hi-Fi, then seven years as chief executive.
