SiteMinder names director Samantha Lawson as new chief product officer

The news: SiteMinder has appointed non-executive director Samantha Lawson as chief product officer (CPO), effective 1 August, succeeding Leah Rankin. Lawson has resigned from the board to assume the executive role.

The context: Lawson brings extensive experience in the technology sector, spanning artificial intelligence, digital strategy and product development. She currently serves as the CPO of AI-powered banking platform Constantinople.

Prior to this appointment, Lawson served as the vice president of AI and digital at Optus and held senior roles at Oxford VR and Commonwealth Bank.

What they said: “Particularly as we look ahead to a future of agentic hotel commerce, Samantha’s proven track record of driving innovation and technological transformation gives us great confidence that she will continue the execution of our product strategy as the landscape for hotels evolves,” SiteMinder chair Pat O’Sullivan said.
