Southern Cross extends deal to air Network 10 channels
The news: Southern Cross Media Group has extended its regional TV deal to air Network 10 channels in three states.
Southern Cross will continue to show the channels in regional Queensland, southern NSW and regional Victoria for an indefinite period.
The numbers: Southern Cross airs Nine, Seven and Sky network channels in parts of Australia, and owns 96 radio stations across AM, FM and digital networks.
The context: The ASX-listed media network started screening the channels on July 1, 2021. The value of the extension contract was not disclosed.
What they said: "We are delighted that this proposed new affiliation agreement with Network 10 will realise improved outcomes for both parties and an aligned advertising solution for regional advertisers," Southern Cross chief executive John Kelly said.
