Steadfast Group CFO Stephen Humphrys to retire after 13 years

The news: Insurance broker Steadfast Group has announced the resignation of its chief financial officer Stephen Humphrys after nearly 13 years in the role.

The context: Humphrys intends to retire on 31 August due to personal reasons related to health and family.

Steadfast's group financial controller Hannah Lee will become acting CFO as the company searches for Humphrys' permanent successor.

The company has also appointed Alexandra Rose as company secretary, effective 24 July. Rose previously held senior roles at Thorn Group, Allianz, Commonwealth Bank and IAG.

What they said: Commenting on Humphrys' departure, Steadfast's managing director and CEO Robert Kelly said, "he has played a pivotal role in helping drive the business to achieve its strategic objectives since he joined the group in January 2013."

"During his tenure, Steadfast was listed on the ASX in August 2013 and has since produced 12 successive years of record profits."
