The news: Property developer Stockland has announced chief financial officer Alison Harrop will step down later this year and has named Sydney Airport’s Josh McHutchison as her replacement.

The numbers: Harrop, who has been in the role since January 2022, will remain until early August, the company said, with McHutchison expected to join at that time.

The context: McHutchison is currently the CFO of Sydney Airport and has more than 30 years of experience in the property and finance sectors. He has previously served as the CFO of Lendlease's Americas business and as a managing director at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Estate Assets.

Stockland last week reaffirmed its full-year guidance after tying up plans for its $3 billion Waterloo renewal project in Sydney.
