Stockland seals EdgeConneX tie-up for Australian data centre portfolio

The news: Property group Stockland has finalised documentation to establish Stockland EdgeConneX, which will own and operate an Australian portfolio of data centres.

The context: Stockland’s portfolio of assets will be used to develop hyperscale data centres. Plans for the joint venture between Stockland and global data centre provider EdgeConneX were first announced in August 2025.

At the time Stockland said it had identified an initial opportunity at MPark Stage 2 in Sydney. The project had secured more than 100 megawatts of power, with construction expected to begin in FY27.

Stockland also flagged several sites across Sydney and Melbourne markets which presented other data centre opportunities.
