The news: Southern Cross Media Group has appointed Sylvia Wiggins as independent non-executive director, with immediate effect.
The context: Wiggins has over 30 years’ experience spanning the infrastructure, energy, resources, transport and government sectors. She currently serves as a non-executive director for Vocus, Lochard Energy, Ausgrid, Epic Energy and Service Stream.
She now joins the company’s audit and risk committee board and will succeed Teresa Dyson as chair of the committee, effective 1 September.
