Syrah Resources shares rocket after resolving offtake dispute with Tesla
The news: Shares in Syrah Resources rallied in morning trade after the former ASX 200 stock announced its offtake dispute with Tesla has been resolved, confirming Tesla has withdrawn its intent to terminate the agreement.
Shares rocketed 23.7% to 12 cents at 11:13am AEST.
The context: Syrah said Tesla has accepted that it has produced conforming natural graphite active anode material (AAM) samples and made sufficient progress at its Vidalia facility in Louisiana.
However, Tesla retains its existing right to terminate the offtake agreement if final qualification of the Vidalia material is not achieved.
This followed an announcement by Syrah in July 2025 stating that it had received a notice from Tesla alleging it had defaulted on an obligation to provide AAM samples.
