Tabcorp extends streaming deal with Sportsbet

The news: Sportsbet will continue to broadcast live vision from Sky Racing 1 and 2 on its live betting app and website after Tabcorp extended their rights agreement.

The numbers: The deal will be extended a further 10 years to 31 July, 2036. The terms of the extension, similar to the original agreement, include a link to Sportsbet turnover and are expected to generate up to $40 million for Tabcorp in FY24.

The context: Tabcorp is Australia's largest betting company, but many of its recent moves been rooted in broadcasting. In July, Tabcorp called on commercial networks to bid on domestic broadcast rights for the Melbourne Cup, which could generate around $100 million over half a decade.
