Tabcorp’s NFL deal extended to 2030
The news: Bookmaker Tabcorp has renewed its partnership with the US National Football League (NFL), extending its run as the exclusive official sports betting partner in Australia.
The context: In September 2019, Tabcorp signed on as the NFL’s exclusive official sports betting partner in Australia.
The renewed deal means Tabcorp will also be the exclusive sports betting partner of the 2026 NFL Melbourne Game to be hosted at the Melbourne Cricket Ground next year. The match will be the first regular season game to be played in Australia.
Tabcorp said the agreement will enable access and delivery of "exclusive NFL events, experiences and content across its digital platforms and in retail venues”.
This includes NFL preview shows, highlight reels and NFL Network programming through the TAB app and 3,700 pubs, clubs and TAB agencies. Tabcorp claimed there is a growing NFL fan base of around 7.5 million people in Australia.
What they said: “We’re particularly pleased to be a partner of the first ever regular season NFL game to be played here,” TAB director of marketing Troy Benton said.
“This will be one of the biggest sporting events hosted in Australia and we’ll be activating all of our assets and providing customers with exclusive access to the biggest names and content in sport.”
