Telstra appoints ANZ director Holly Kramer to board, Elana Rubin retires
The news: Telstra has appointed former executive and current ANZ and Fonterra director Holly Kramer to its board.
The context: Kramer will serve as a non-executive director and chair Telstra’s people and remuneration committee.
She was previously on the boards of Woolworths, Endeavour Group, AMP and Nine Entertainment.
In her executive career, Kramer was CEO of apparel retailer Best & Less, and held senior roles at Telstra, Pacific Brands and the Ford Motor Company.
Her appointment is effective today, and she will stand for election at the company’s annual general meeting in October.
The telco giant also announced the retirement of director Elana Rubin, who has served six years on the board.
What they said: “Holly is widely respected and exceptionally well-credentialled, bringing a broad range of executive and non-executive leadership experience across retail, banking, media, academia and the public sector,” said Telstra chair Craig Dunn.
“Holly also brings understanding of the telecommunications market through her ten years in executive roles with Telstra up to 2009.”
