The news: Payments service provider Tyro has appointed Ingenico executive Nigel Lee as its next CEO, starting 12 January 2026.

The context: Lee most recently served as regional managing director Asia Pacific and chief customer officer at Ingenico, where he worked with Tyro. He has previously worked at American Express, First Data Corporation, MoneyGram and DataMesh Group.

Lee has also been an operating partner at private equity asset management company APIS Partners, specialising in fintech portfolio companies across Asia and Africa.

The move comes after current Tyro's current CEO Jon Davey resigned in June.
