UK-based Ideagen buys Melbourne software company Lucidity
The news: UK-headquartered information management group Ideagen has acquired Melbourne health and safety software company Lucidity Software for an undisclosed amount, according to an emailed press release.
The numbers: The addition takes Ideagen’s Australian software acquisition investments to a total of around $150 million, the release states. Ideagen was bought by London based private equity play HG Capital for £1.1 billion ($2.1 billion) in June 2022.
The context: Established in 1996, Lucidity Software helps workers and management with environmental health, safety and quality management connectivity. This is Ideagen’s fifth acquisition for 2023 and its third overall acquisition in the health and safety sector after acquiring Ideagen DevonWay in September and ProcessMAP in 2022.
Lucidity’s customers include Acciona Australia, Downer Group, US agricultural company Cargill and construction companies Meinhardt Group, Metricon Homes and Built.
What they said: Ideagen CEO Ben Dorks said Lucidity is a good example of Australia’s innovative tech businesses and will help Ideagen with its depth and scalability.
“The addition of Lucidity builds our footprint and increases the support we can offer to regulated industries in that region, and we are looking forward to amplifying that great tech globally,” he said.
