Ventia secures $107m defence contract extension
The news: Infrastructure services provider Ventia Group has secured a one-year extension to its Defence Maintenance Contract (DMC) with the Australian Department of Defence valued at $107 million, effective from 1 December 2028.
The contract includes an option for a further four-year extension.
The context: Under the contract, Ventia will continue to deliver large scale support to the defence department including maintenance of tanks, surveillance systems, marine craft and protected mobility vehicles, as well as the operation of a 24/7 nationwide vehicle and equipment recovery services.
What they said: "For more than 36 years, we've supported Defence capability, and we remain committed to strengthening this partnership while exploring opportunities to broaden our services to meet the evolving needs of the Australian Defence Force," Ventia Group CEO Dean Banks said.
