Ventia signs $125m contract extension with NSW Public Works
The news: Infrastructure services group Ventia has extended its whole of government cleaning services contract with NSW Public Works, in a deal worth $125 million.
The numbers: Ventia shares edged up 0.4% to $4.68 by 12:25pm AEDT, having lifted nearly 50% since the turn of the year.
The context: The new contract will extend Ventia's existing contract with NSW Public Works in the Hunter Central Coast and Western Sydney regions for an additional year until the end of 2025.
What they said: "We are proud of our team of over 1800 cleaners and supervisors who provide essential services to schools, TAFE campuses, police and ambulance sites, and many NSW Government agencies across Western Sydney and the Hunter Central Coast regions," Ventia chief executive and managing director Dean Banks said.
