The news: Shares in Vitura Health have plummeted more than 19.6% after the digital health solutions provider lost an exclusive software license that helps power its CanView platform.

The numbers: Code4 Cannabis (C4C) notified Vitura's subsidiary CanView it would not extend the exclusive software license beyond its 10 August 2024 expiry date. Vitura is exercising service agreement rights to trigger a 15-month transitional period to continue to exclusively license the software until 10 November 2025. Vitura shares were trading 19.4% lower mid afternoon at $0.225.

The context: The notification came after Vitura raised issues with C4C's conduct. Vitura said it could use the extension to implement new software or look at acquiring C4C.
