Viva Energy names Sandfire Resources director Sally Martin to board

The news: Viva Energy has appointed Sally Martin as an independent non-executive director, effective 1 September.

The context: Martin brings extensive experience across the energy and resources sectors in the UK, Europe and Africa. She currently serves as a non-executive director of Sandfire Resources where she chairs the nominations and corporate governance committee.

She also currently chairs the remuneration and nomination committee at Beach Energy.

What they said: “Her wealth of international experience in refining and trading, as well as her broad experience across engineering and high-risk operations will be invaluable as Viva Energy executes its strategy,” Viva chair Sarah Ryan said.
