Webjet and Web Travel board director Brad Holman to leave

More news: Webjet Group director and chair of its remuneration and nomination committee Brad Holman will retire from the role on 30 June.

Webjet said in a statement to the exchange that it expects to announce one or two new directors "in the near future".

It was also announced this morning that Holman would retire from his directorship of Web Travel Group on 30 September. Holman served on the board of Web Travel Group since 2014, before the company de-merged from Webjet Group in July 2024.

At 2:28pm AEST Web Travel Group shares were down 1.7% to $4.44 while Webjet Group shares had slipped 1.8% to $0.83.

Web Travel adds ex-Virgin CEO Paul Scurrah to board

The news: B2B travel company Web Travel Group has announced that former Virgin Australia CEO Paul Scurrah and ex-chair of Baby Bunting Melanie Wilson will join its board as non-executive directors from 1 July.

Brad Holman, who has served on the board since 2014, will retire as a director on 30 September.

The context: Scurrah was chief executive of Virgin Australia between 2019 and 2020, having also served as chief executive of Pacific National, DP World Australia, Queensland Rail and TravelOnline.com.

Wilson is currently a non-executive director at JB Hi-Fi and Oroton Group. She previously served on the boards of NYSE-listed PropertyGuru and ASX-listed EML Payments and iSelect.

What they said: “We committed to refresh the board following completion of the company’s demerger, and are delighted to welcome Melanie and Paul,” said Web Travel chair Roger Sharp.
