The news: Web Travel Group reported underlying group earnings of $148.4 million for FY27, up 23% compared to the prior year, but near the bottom of its guided range of $147 million to $155 million.

The numbers: Total transaction value (TTV) grew 20% year on year, driven by organic growth in the Americas and Europe.

However, in the first eight weeks of FY27, the B2B travel marketplace saw TTV decline 6% compared to the prior corresponding period, due to unfavourable foreign exchange movements. This compared to first-half consensus expectations of 8.8% growth, and full-year estimates of 10.5% growth.

What they said: “This impressive result was delivered in an environment where the conflict in the Middle East placed downward pressure on bookings and TTV in March 2026,” Web Travel Group’s managing director John Guscic said.

“We continue to see exciting growth opportunities however the current trading environment remains uncertain. Trading conditions continue to be impacted by geopolitical instability in the Middle East particularly across MEA and parts of APAC.”
