The news: B2B travel company Web Travel Group reported a 22% rise in total transaction value (TTV) for the year ending 31 March, sending shares up 13% to $5.29 at market open.

The numbers: Web Travel's TTV grew 22% year over year to $4.9 billion. TTV margins fell to 6.7% from 8.2% a year earlier and are expected to stabilise at 6.5% for the medium term.

Bookings were up 20% to 8,395 and revenue edged up 1% to $328.4 million.

Web Travel, which operates the WebBeds wholesale bookings business, said TTV was up 37% at the start of its 2026 financial year, with bookings up 29% compared to the same period last year.

The context: Wilsons Advisory analyst Ben Wilson called it a "strong result", given the deteriorating macro climate in the second half.

RBC Capital Markets analyst Wei Weng-Chen said the result marked a "modest beat" to expectations, while FY26 trading is "strongly ahead" of estimates.

What they said: "All said, this update will likely result in double-digit upgrades to consensus EBITDA expectations," said Weng-Chen. "With most global travel companies in downgrade mode, [Web Travel] have bucked the trend and upgraded quite materially."
