Westgold Resources shares climb on FY26 production forecast
The news: Gold miner Westgold Resources was one of the top performers on the ASX 200 in early trade, after providing production guidance of 345,000 to 385,000 ounces for the 2026 financial year, up from output of 326,384 in FY25.
The numbers: Westgold shares were up 5.1% to $2.90 at 11:20am AEST.
The miner guided an all-in sustaining cost of $2,600 to $2,900 per ounce, compared to $2,666 in fiscal 2025.
The context: Westgold said it expects 330,000 to 355,000 ounces of its projected FY26 production to come from its own assets, and around 15,000 to 30,000 ounces from the processing of purchased ores.
Group production is back-end weighted to the second half of the year, the company noted, due to the timing of mine ramp ups at its Bluebird-South Junction and Great Fingall projects in Western Australia.
