The news: WiseTech Global has rejected recent media speculation that its commercial relationship with the world’s biggest freight forwarder DSV is at risk.

The numbers: WiseTech said DSV remains an “active WiseTech customer”, with transaction volumes growing by around 20% in the last six months.

The context: The logistics software group, which announced this week that its co-founder and former CEO Richard White would step down as executive chair, said both companies are committed under an existing contract until September 2028, including a “substantial financial commitment”.

The parties are also continuing to discuss potential additional collaboration opportunities, it said, including beyond September 2028.

The AFR reported in February that DSV would replace WiseTech’s CargoWise software in favour of in-house AI-based systems developed by German logistics provider Schenker.

What they said: “During my recent meeting in Denmark with DSV CEO Jens Lund and his leadership team, I reiterated that we deeply value our long-standing relationship with DSV and remain committed to supporting its business and identifying opportunities to deliver additional value over time,” said WiseTech CEO Zubin Appoo.

“We see meaningful opportunities to further strengthen the relationship, particularly through the potential adoption of our AI workflow automation and the new commercial model, which have the ability to deliver further significant productivity improvements and operational efficiencies across DSV’s global business”.
