The news: Engineering and professional services company Worley says it is reassigning its two regional group presidents to newly created global roles to help streamline delivery of major energy, chemicals, and resources projects.

The numbers: Shares in Worley were trading 1% lower at $12.87 at 10:30am AEST.

The context: Group president of Worley’s Americas business Mark Trueman is now group president, major projects and programs, and will be responsible for “the pursuit, winning and delivery of some of Worley’s biggest projects and customer programs”, according to an ASX announcement.

Group president for EMEA APAC, Mark Brantley, is now group president, global operations, and will oversee all other Worley operations excluding major projects and programs and technology solutions.

The changes take effect from 1 July. In late February, Worley reported a 55.4% rise in first-half net profit after a significant write-down period over the preceding year.

What they said: “Global Operations brings the opportunity to streamline and strengthen our support for customers across the depth and breadth of their needs wherever they are in the world,” Worley CEO Chris Ashton said.
