The news: Engineering group Worley has won services contracts from two of the world’s biggest energy companies — Shell and Saudi Aramco.

The numbers: Shell awarded Worley the contract for professional services to support the delivery of its Holland Hydrogen 1 facility at the Port of Rotterdam, which will be Europe’s largest commercial renewable hydrogen producing facility.

Aramco’s award was a five-year renewal of a general engineering services-plus contract. Worley did not disclose the value of the two deals.

The context: Worley said the Shell contract would involve providing detailed design, procurement and construction management support for the Holland Hydrogen 1 project. The company had completed the early phase engineering services for the facility.

Meanwhile, the Aramco contract includes providing project management and engineering services across onshore, green and brownfield projects in gas, oil and new energy infrastructure across Saudi Arabia. The project can potentially be extended for up to three one-year increments.
