Anthony Albanese and senior ministers will descend on Canberra on Monday for their first cabinet meeting of the year.
While there aren’t expected to be any significant announcements next week, the meeting will provide the government the chance to reset the agenda heading into a critical few weeks before the election is called. After the cabinet meeting, the PM is expected to visit more regional areas in the following days.

This comes after Albanese embarked on a regional blitz of the country this week, visiting Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia to announce a suite of multi-billion-dollar infrastructure commitments.
