Jan Cameron, the Kathmandu founder and formerly Australia's fourth richest woman, was the biggest loser from 'Big Wednesday' in the High Court when five decisions were handed down.
A Cameron company, Quarry Street, took over a crown lease for Paddington Bowling Club in 2018 from her former adviser and business partner, Jon Adgemis.
A native title claim was lodged in 2016 after it fell into disuse, and the NSW Government transferred the title to the La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council in 2021.
Quarry Street lost in the NSW Land and Environment Court, won in the NSW Court of Appeal, then lost in the High Court.
