The High Court is now up and running with a “contemporary” website, part of a broader communications overhaul that also includes shifting its social media presence from X to LinkedIn.
The court went live with the new site on Wednesday, accompanied by a national 1800 number that replaces separate contact lines for the court in Canberra and the Sydney and Melbourne registries.
Prima Facie won’t claim expertise in web design, but the update is a vast improvement, if only because it finally offers more than a desktop version.
The world operates on smartphones now, but accessing the High Court on a mobile before yesterday was hard work. The homepage was crammed into a single screen, making it easy to tap the wrong link or button.
