KPMG Australia’s new chief executive, John Sams, says the embattled firm is ready to turn the page.
In a statement this morning, Sams said he did not underestimate the task of addressing the firm’s shortcomings, which stem from its mishandling of whistleblower allegations about the misuse of client information to win contracts.
He said there was “serious” work to be done to rebuild its culture, leadership and governance.
But can a 23-year KPMG insider really be the fresh pair of hands the firm so desperately needs?
