Consistent with that, we won’t be endorsing any party or candidate. But I will take this opportunity to reflect on what we’ve learnt over the past five weeks about our country, its politics and the way it is covered by the media.
This campaign is already being widely described as one of the most uninspiring in memory. And from a policy standpoint, it's difficult to disagree. Most of the really big questions facing this country, from the spiralling national debt to how we navigate ructions in the US and China, have not been credibly answered. Others, such as the onset of generative artificial intelligence and its impact on our economy, have not even been asked.
