Nvidia-backed data centre startup Firmus Technologies has registered a new Sydney office as it lays the groundwork for one of the most eagerly anticipated ASX floats of the year.

According to an Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) filing seen by Capital Brief, Firmus will occupy an office on George Street in Sydney’s CBD.

The company, which was founded in Tasmania before moving its headquarters to Singapore, announced a $330 million pre-IPO round in September, then followed up with a $500 million equity raise two months later.

However, a deal with chip giant Nvidia and Canberra-based CDC Data Centres in November was the catalyst for spreading its staff footprint to mainland Australia, the company told Capital Brief.
