Australian software company Dovetail and its chief executive officer Benjamin Humphrey are fighting for confidentiality orders over allegations brought by employee Bethany Lo Russo under a human rights claim.

Dovetail and Humphrey’s legal team at Gilbert + Tobin are trying to get Lo Russo’s case struck out.

But in the first case management hearing on Tuesday, Federal Court of Australia Judge Elizabeth Raper, also heard from legal teams in the matter, as well as Nine Entertainment, over a confidentiality application. Dovetail wants confidentiality orders in place over parts of the court file while its strike out application is heard.

A former Corrs Chambers Westgarth associate, Lo Russo has been legal counsel at Dovetail since January 2022, according to her LinkedIn profile.
