The nation’s largest domestic media company is being scrutinised by the state workplace regulator following allegations of inappropriate behaviour.

Nine Entertainment will be the subject of SafeWork NSW inquiries following a weeks-long scandal that has seen the company subjected to a swarm of allegations of inappropriate behaviour. AAP/Dean Lewins.

Nine Entertainment is under scrutiny from the state workplace regulator with oversight of the company’s Sydney headquarters, as chief executive Mike Sneesby moved to reassure staff that participation in a review of the company’s culture will be anonymous.

SafeWork NSW confirmed it is scrutinising Nine following a weeks-long scandal that has seen allegations of inappropriate behaviour widely reported across the media.

“SafeWork NSW is making inquiries into the recent allegations involving Nine Entertainment," a spokesperson for SafeWork NSW told Capital Brief, adding that the regulator has not yet received any complaints.

The regulator's inquiries add to a torrid month for the company, which was rocked last month by a report in The Australian newspaper revealing that former Nine executive and head of television news Darren Wick was the subject of a workplace complaint before departing the company in March.
