4DMedical appoints Julian Sutton as CFO

The news: 4DMedical has appointed early investor Julian Sutton as CFO and executive director. Sutton has been a non-executive director of the respiratory imaging technology company since 2017.

The context: 4DMedical is planning an “accelerated scale-up” following an global distribution agreement with Philips over its new CT scan imaging technology, CT:VQ, which was recently FDA-cleared and has received regulatory approval in Canada.

Sutton will receive $427,000 a year in remuneration, excluding superannuation, and is eligible to participate in short-term and long-term incentive plans.

What they said: “Julian has been a trusted adviser to 4DMedical for many years and has played an instrumental role in supporting the company’s growth, capital strategy and engagement with investors,” 4DMedical CEO and founder Andreas Fouras said.

Sutton said the company was entering a “defining phase of its growth” following the progress on CT:VQ.
