AMP appoints Adrian Ryan as acting CFO
The news: Insurance business AMP has appointed Adrian Ryan as acting chief financial officer to fill the vacancy that will be left by Blair Vernon, who will begin as the new chief executive on 30 March.
The context: Ryan is currently AMP’s director of group finance and wealth. He has spent more than 13 years in senior finance roles at AMP and six years at AMP Capital prior to that.
An internal and external search for a permanent CFO that was announced on 20 January 2026 is still ongoing.
Vernon is moving into the CEO role after it was announced that incumbent CEO Alexis George would retire from executive work after nearly five years in the top job at AMP.
