Ansell appoints Jonas Samuelson as new non-executive director

The news: Personal protective equipment maker Ansell has appointed Jonas Samuelson as an independent non-executive director, effective 1 March.
Samuelson has also been invited to become the member of the company's audit & compliance committee.
The appointment follows the announcement that CEO Neil Salmon will retire after 13 years with company, to be replaced by former Fiskars Group boss Nathalie Ahlström.
The context: Samuelson has over 30 years of experience across finance, operations and general management and has previously held senior leadership roles including CEO of Electrolux Group and CFO at Munters.
What they said: "Jonas brings extensive international leadership and finance experience to the board. His expertise in international manufacturing, operational transformation and financial governance will support the board in guiding Ansell's long term strategy and performance," Ansell chair Nigel Garrard said.
