The news: Advertising tech startup Springboards has launched with $5 million in seed funding from Australian venture capital firm, Blackbird Ventures.

The numbers: The startup has gained a pre-money valuation of over $20 million, and is working with over 120 advertising agencies globally.

The context: Noosa-based founders Amy Tucker and Pip Bingeman created the AI platform to assist advertising professionals throughout their workflow, from concept validation to building campaigns. The platform offers nine AI-powered tools, which focus on pushing the creativity of the users rather than pointing them toward a single ‘right answer.’

The tools include an ‘Insights Digger’ which extracts brand insights from data sets and a ‘Validator Tool’ which provides evidence to back up strategic decisions and creative approaches.

Springboards was picked as part of the first Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First Program last year, where it was proven to generate 10–30x more creative diversity than OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini combined.

Pip Bingemann, co-founder of Springboards said: “We designed Springboards to be a partner, not a replacement. AI shouldn’t rob the industry of its soul—it should expand its creative horizons.

What they said: “Creativity in advertising is under siege,” said Amy Tucker, co-founder. “Shrinking margins, skyrocketing pitching costs, and ever-higher client expectations are threatening the craft. We built Springboards to help creatives do what they do best: think big, explore boldly, and stay original.”
