Canva launches new AI marketing platform
The news: Canva has launched a new creative marketing automation platform, Canva Grow 2.0, at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity as part of its latest string of product developments.
The context: The first edition of Canva Grow, launched in October, marked Canva’s expansion into performance marketing by integrating directly with LinkedIn, TikTok and Meta to streamline publishing and insights.
The new 2.0 model builds on AI-powered ad platform Magic Brief.
Over the last 12 months, Canva has acquired multiple AI automation platforms including Ortto, SimTheory, Doohly and Mango AI. The company aims to combine these acquisitions to support the entire lifecycle, from creative development to publishing, measurement, optimisation, and growth.
Canva’s B2B revenue has surpassed USD500 million ($725 million), with the company now serving more than 95% of the Fortune 500. This growth has driven Canva to become the third most used AI platform in the world, according to research from venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz.
What they said: “With Canva Grow 2.0, businesses can go from generating engaging ads to publishing them across multiple platforms, seeing what’s working, and automatically refreshing creative based on what’s actually driving results,” Canva Grow head George Howes said.
“It’s about bringing creation, distribution, and optimisation together in one seamless flow, so every campaign is smarter and more effective than the last,” he added.
