The news: Sydney-based startup Earlywork has closed a $1.5 million seed round to expand its tech sales bootcamp to new roles and regions.

The numbers: The startup, originally founded in 2021 as a newsletter to help university students and early career professionals secure tech jobs, now runs a three-week program that takes 30 to 40 people per cohort. More than 100 graduates have gone through the bootcamp.

The context: Earlywork is working with Australian startups like Shippit, Eftsure and BuildPass to build and teach a tech sales curriculum, while helping companies hire junior talent that’s already been vetted and trained for them. As part of its expansion, the company recently launched in Singapore and began development of a customer success program. Earlywork's seed funding round was led by private investment firm No Brand, with support from Jelix Ventures, Archangel Ventures, Ultraviolet Ventures, former Atlassian president Jay Simons and Monsido executive Sam Rahmanian.
